Görkem Atsungur, the Associate Professor at the International and Comparative Politics Department, participated in the Erasmus+ Teaching Activity in May 2022, at the Faculty of Political and Administrative Sciences at Kazimierz Wielki University (UKW) in Bydgoszcz - Poland ().
Dr. Atsungur was invited by Dr. Nartiss Shukuralieva and Dr. Alina Kaskzur and conducted three lectures on (1) The NATO Mission in Afghanistan (2001-2021): Lessons from Twenty Years, and (2) Turkish Foreign Policy towards Afghanistan during the Justice and Development Party Era. Dr. Atsungur also discussed the current political events: Russia’s War on Ukraine, Turkey-Polish diplomatic relations, and Turkey’s position on the Swedish and Finnish membership in NATO.
Dr. Atsungur also had an opportunity to meet with the Vice-Rector of UKW Marek Macko, the coordinator of the Erasmus+ program Aniela Bekier and Joanna Kalka, and other Erasmus+ professors from Ukraine, Kosovo, and the USA.
With the great support of the AUCA administration, Aselia Umetalieva and Dinara Orozbaeva, and the ICP department, Dr. Atsungur successfully completed his teaching mobility in Poland.
