The focus remained on practice-based applied research, fostering student learning and faculty exchange. AUCA, as a key member and partner of the OSUN (Open Society University Network), continues to play a vital role in designing joint curricula for policy labs and conducting them locally.
This year, we brought together over 20 faculty members and students from esteemed institutions including the ºì´½Ö±²¥, the Geneva Graduate Institute, and the Central European University. The workshop served as a vibrant platform for sharing experiences in conducting applied research projects within the realm of Policy Labs. Participants aimed to develop shared curricula and explore innovative ways of collaboration.
Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in enriching knowledge exchanges and experienced invaluable learning moments. Students had the chance to showcase their completed projects and receive constructive feedback from their peers, fostering constructive discussions and mutual learning.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to all the participants for their active participation and contributions. This project is made possible with the support of OSUN (Open Society University Network), a global network of universities that promotes liberal education, personal autonomy, and a free society. Through the OSUN project activity, we strive to bridge the gap between academic research and organizations, practitioners, and policy makers, all dedicated to tackling global challenges of sustainable development," concluded Kanat Sultanaliev, Executive Director of TSPC.
"The highlight of this workshop for me was the opportunity to share my applied research project experience with students from the ºì´½Ö±²¥ and the Central European University. It was insightful and fascinating to witness the diverse collaborations among students and their project partners. This experience reinforced the importance of sharing and learning from one another, as it provided valuable insights and enhanced my research journey in a specific area," said Clara Blomberg, a student of the Central European University.
